Portland in pink

As much as I like to plan ahead for a photographic excursion, and to always have a number of images in mind, sometimes it's the unexpected pictures that turn out to be the most rewarding. On this particular morning I hadn't expected to find this magnificent display of Pink Thrift on the cliff top beside Portland Bill Lighthouse, but was very pleased to have done so as the flowers add an extra dimension to the scene.
